Q: I am looking at buying an 06 plate Audi A3 which is an ex-demo car from an Audi showroom down in London.?
The car was a demo car for approx 6 mths, at which point it was sold to a women in the London area on 22/08/2006. She remained the only reg'd owned of the car until now where it has been part ex'd into another Audi garage 170 miles from London. There are some minor scuffs on the bumper and bodywork but it will be repaired by Audi. The car is top spec as it was a demo car. It has done 37,000 miles since it was registered in March 2006 and comes with 1 yrs warrenty. Should I be concerned that it was traded in so far from where it was purchased? She apparently travelling to Audi here to part ex her car and purchase a used car. Is this common? Thanks.
A: If it's a properly vetted used car from an Audi main agent, I'm sure it'll be fine. As for the distance thing, maybe the car she wanted was at that garage and she travelled?

BUT i want to transform it to S3 or at least look a lot like it because it's me dream car.. Only the outside.. not the engine.. Can someone help me on how much it will cost? or atleast how much is the pricing for each part? (pumper etc, etc) I live in Cyprus if this helps you.. i searched but i didn't find anything reliable.. i just want to find the prices for each part so i will be able to estimate how much i will need..

A: Whats a pumper?? and what are you planning to mod. Dont try to make it into what it isnt when done it usually doesnt work out. good luck id ejoy it thogh for what it is a great car.

Does anybody know what this part is, I have an audi a3 and had to get a new gearbox over the weekend because the mechanic told me that this part (PIC IN THE URL) was broke..
The image is on the 2nd row with an orange background I think it's a flywheel.
I paid £675.00 to get it sorted as the mechanic told me I needed a new gearbox would this be correct.

A: It sounds about right. You can tell if you got a new one by getting under your car and having a look. Grease and dirt accumulate pretty quick on a car chassis. The new gearbox would be attatched to your motor and should look clean and new compared to everything around it. If you find the gearbox covered with exactly the same dirt and grease as everything else under there, then it's safe to assume that it wasn't changed.
