Q: How often do you have to change the oil on a 2003 Audi A4 3.0?
I am purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 and I was told that the oil only has to be changed every 10,000 miles when synthetic is used. Is this true? I am used to changing the oil every 3,000 or so miles in my other cars.
A: Your going to want to change it every 5000 miles. When you do be sure to use fully synthetic 5w-30. The owners manual says to use castrol syntec, but any decent brand will do, I use mobile-1.
Since your not running the turbo version, you can probably go a little longer if you dont have time or forget, but more much.
Q: Is there any significant difference between the 2002 and 2003 audi a4 models?

A: hmmm, this question sounds familiar. Check your E-mail bro. Hope it helped

Q: Where can I find accessories online for a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro?
I recently purchased an '03 A4 Quattro and it is missing a speaker cover. Any idea where I can find this online? I've tried the dealership website. That didn't work.
Thanks.
A: two places to buy used and new body and trim (and just about all parts) is Shokan and 4 used audi pts. shokan also stocks new parts as well.
Q: Should I buy a 2003 Audi a4 1.8T or a 2003 Volkswagon GLI jetta?
I'm having mixed opinions on what I should do. Which one should I buy and why? The A4 is 16,000 with 56,000 miles and the Jetta is 15,000 with 45,000 miles. The Jetta is a 6speed manual and the A4 is a 5 speed but is a 1.8T. The Audi is way nicer inside and seems bigger on the inside versus the GLI which is kind of bland on seems small, especially for people to sit in the back. I heard that Audi's break down quicker, but Audi and Volkswagon are the same thing aren't they?
A: Hi, I had a 2002 Audi A4 1.8 I traded in a few months ago for a 2006 A4 2.0 Quattro. I had good luck with the 2002 (It had 68,000miles when I traded it in), only small standard problems, but all covered under the warranty (I had no problems from 50K miles until I traded it in!). I love the cars.... they drive very stable, in all weather, including New England winters (I live on MA/ NH line)! They feel solid when you are driving it, and all the reviews from edmunds and other reviewers say exactly that. The price seems a little high for the 2003. I would see if you can bargain that down to the 14500-14750 range. I'm sure you'll enjoy the A4 if you decide to go for it!!
Q: reliability and repair costs on a 2003 Audi a4?
I was wondering how expensive repair costs on an Audi are; I know that foreign cars are more expensive to repair to i was wondering in terms of an Audi. And also how reliable the car is.
A: about $95 an hour labor plus parts .Very expensive car to drive if it breaks down a lot.Have a certified dealer check the car out before you purchase it.The A4 will hold its resale value my friend just sold his Audi 04 on trade in and got almost retail at a dealership for it.Good luck and research any car you buy your wise for asking not many people look at all aspects of buying a car in short and long term.
Q: Do you have to change the rotors on a brake change for a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro?
I heard I might have to change my rotors when I change my brake pads instead of just smoothing the rotors out. Does anyone know this for sure? I'm trying to do the job myself since it's so expensive to take it to a shop.
A: Take the rotors to your local auto parts store and see if they can be cut. They will have something to measure and see if you can or not. If they are too worn you will have to replace them.
Q: 2003 Audi A4 3.0 question? Gas Tank/Gas Light. When does it actually run out of gas?
I have a 2003 Audi A4, 3.0. I am wondering if anyone knows how much gas is left in the tank when the fuel light goes on. Also, once the remaining range display counts down to 0 miles, how far do I actually have until I run out of gas? I have been down to 0 only once and immediately filled up. Do I actually have 10 miles or so left or does 0 mean 0 in this instance?
A: Enough to do approx 30 miles. Not to be recomended
Q: Where can I buy replacement dashboard parts for a 2003 Audi A4 3.0?
The letters on the plastic on the stereo and A/C buttons in my Audi A4 have smudged and a button is missing. I know I can bring this to the Audi dealer and have it replaced, but I don't want to spend the labor money since it is easy to do myself. Where can I purchase replacement buttons for the dash? Or, if I cannot buy them individually, where can I purchase a new dash plastic set?
A: shokan.com.... plenty of new and used parts for Audis.
Q: How many miles can you put on a 2003 Audi A4?
Is 80k considered high mileage?
A: For roughly a 4 year-old car? Yes, a little high. And don't listen to the uninformed, who claim an Audi can run forever. You've offered no indication as to the maintenance of this vehicle. This is around the time when Audi's become extremely expensive.
Q: 2003 Audi A4 Tune Up at a regular shop?
Can I get my 2003 Audi A4 its 100,000 mile tune up taken care of [safely] at a shop other than an audi dealer? Are any of these "chain" tune up shops safe?
A: Absolutely! Any garage should be able to change the air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter and so on. The only problem they might have is getting the parts. If the parts store the garage usually works with does not stock the parts then the garage may have to go to the dealer to get the parts. So changing the parts is not an issue, getting the parts could be. GOOD LUCK!!!
Q: Help! I have a 2003 Audi A4...The fuse for the reverse lights keep blowing out, What can I do?
Every time I put a new fuse in it instantly blows. No other problems with electrical, just no lights when I put in reverse. It is a 5 speed.
A: Does it "instantly blow" or not until you put the car in reverse? Is this with ignition on or off? If instantly, the problem is between the fuse block and the reverse switch in or above the transmission. If not until you put the car in reverse, then it's between the switch and the bulbs. Are the lights in the trunk lid or do they stay put when you raise the trunk? if they move with the trunk lid, check for a pinched or bare wire near the hinge point in the cable. You might check this out and repost or if you can find a way, zap me a note and we'll keep looking.
Q: Does anyone have a fuse diagram for a 2003 Audi A4?
Is there a fuse that runs a sensor that will cause the cooling fans to come on when the engine coolant reaches a certain temperature?
A: I own a shop, and the best thing you could do is go to the parts store, and order a "Haynes Repair Manual" for your vehicle, or you could go to the library, and get the information out of a "Chilton's Repair Manual" for free.
There is a temperature sensor that sends a signal to the relay to start the fan/fans when it reaches the proper temperature. You can test the system by hooking a direct hot wire from the battery to the fans, and if they come on, then you either have a bad sensor, relay, or a bad connections somewhere. The system has a fuse located in the main fuse box. You will have to see your owners manual for its location, or do like I suggested, and look at a repair manual for the location, and a diagram of how its all wired up.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!
Q: where can i get a cheap 2003 audi a4 1.8 turbo sedan?
i need to know where i can find an inexpensive 2003 audi a4 1.8 turbo sedan.
A: At almost 6 years old, you could easily find one for very cheap just by searching the online classifieds of autotrader.com or kbb.com. I'm seeing the 1.8 turbo going for an asking price between $13,000 and $17,000. Check for yourself on kbb.com using the used car classified search engine.
Q: How much does a dealer charge to replace the brake pads on a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro?
A: The dealer will use the same flat rate manual as any other shop what you need to find out is the rate per hr they charge then go shopping, if the book says it takes 3 hrs to do a brake job on your audi and the tech does it in an 1hr and 1/2 you still pay for 3 hrs plus dealer parts are marked up at least 200%
