Q: I just bought a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T and it doesnt have Bose Stereo system. How do I get that installed?
All the other Audi's I have had, have had Bose and I didnt realize how much I missed it until I didnt have it. Where do I buy the speakers? And how much would they cost with the labor? I know nothing about sound systems, I just want to get it installed correctly by the right people. Where do I go? What do I do?
A: bose=buy other sound equipment
find out how much much the bose option costs
in your model on the options list then spend that much
on aftermarket equipment.the sound you get from
aftermarket equipment will blow the bozo system away.
Q: What kind of modifications would I have to make in order to import 2005 Audi A4 into Canada?
A: there are all kinds of A4 already in canada. why would want to import it? it's gonna cost you alot of money for modifications, taxes, duty, register fees, and transportation. save your dough and go to audi dealer to buy or order any A4 you want.
Q: I have an 2005 Audi A4 and one of the headlights has a lot of moisture in it. How do I get rid of it?
A: Buy a new headlight since there is probably a crack or opening where the moisture got in in the first place. Even if you manage to get rid of it, the moisture will probably come back.
Q: considering purchasing a 2005 audi a4 quattro ? anyone care to try and talk me out of it ?
I seem to be getting mixed reviews from everyone I know about the quality. I have now driven one, and its awesome. Please if you respond use facts and information.. not just that you love or hate them.. thanks
A: i loveee vws and audis.
They're fun to drive, safe, reliable, and luxuiorus.
They're reasonably priced, and not everyone has one, unlike BMWs. Most of all, they hold resale value REALLY well.
on the down side, mateience and key replacements are reaallyy expensive.
Q: What should I look out for when purchasing a 2005 Audi A4?
A: A4 is a very very sexy car, besides couple electric issues and maybe some issue with the mass air intake. It's a perfect car. The AWD in A4 is one of the best in the world. Remember get the stick shift, it's more fun to drive.
depending on the mileage, check make sure timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulley, thermostat, and radiator fluid. They must be all replace or flush at 60k.
Q: differences between 2004 and 2005 audi a4 1.8t quattro?
I am looking to buy a audi a4. i am wandering if there are any chances from 2004 model to 2005 model(not 2005.5). and hows the reliability on each model. what are some of the common problems with these cars. Also does anyone know any good online audi forums?
Thanks Alot!
the models im looking at is audi a4 1.8t quattro
A: Same car, minor cosmetics. The 2005.5 is where the change comes in. As for problems, as long as the oil has been changed regularly, the timing belt, H20 pump, rollers, thermostat, and coolant have been done at 70K, you are good. Also, after a hard or long drive, let it idle for about 2-3 minutes or install a turbo timer, so the oil won't coke- solidify on the bearings and the vents of the turbo. These cars are hard on wheel bearings too. Try audizine.com, audiforums, com, audidiy.com, volksforums.com, fortitude.com (this is vwvortex's site exclusively for Audi.). If you have any further questions, PM me.
Q: What size rims will fit on a 2005 Audi a4 2.0T quattro?
Also, some decently priced examples would be appreciated. Thanks!
A: You just have to keep the overall diameter the same. http://www.s4wheelgallery.com/ has a lot of styles and shows you what they look like on cars.
Q: 2005 Audi A4 - 1.8T?
I'm considering a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T..I really like the style and
the sophistication of it's looks, but I was wondering, if what I heard from other people is true. I heard that they are alot of hassle in general...Is that true? What can you tell me of the Audi A4 1.8T???
Thanks! =)
A: I own a 2000 Audi A4 (1.8T). The car is a great car... until you need to go in for any kind of work.
The parts and labor is about 2x to 4x (mostly 4x) compared to Honda. On my Audi the timing belt swap cost me $1350. On my 94 Civic it cost me about $400.
The Audi cat converter is over $850 (PARTS ONLY).

Nice car if you can afford the maintenance.
Good Luck...
P.S. I usually do my own car fix / repair. But not on the Audi. It is complex beyond belief. I can't even get the valve covers off without taking half the engine apart. The air filter takes 30 minutes because it is so buried. Don't even think about taking it to NON VW / AUDI specialist. I tried that once and they didn't even know what some of the parts did (secondary air injector).
Q: Is The 2005 Audi A4 As good as the BMW 3-series or Lexus IS series?
A: Yes.
BMW's main rival for the BMW 3 series is the Audi A4.
BMW made the V8 powered BMW M3 and Lexus made the V8 powered Lexus IS-F so it can keep up with an Audi RS4, which was made 2 years ago. And the new 08 BMW M3 and Lexus IS-F are not faster than it. They have the same 0-60mph time, but the Audi RS4 has AWD and a higher top speed.
And Mercedes made the C63 AMG to compete against the Audi RS4.
Audi has some of the best quality and better ergonomics than these other cars and they also won more awards for their cars in 2007 than BMW. Mercedes and Lexus did not even win awards in 2007.
I have also driven the BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Lexus IS, and Mercedes C class many times because I work in a luxury car dealership. I prefer the ride and looks and luxury of the Audi.
Q: Can the 2005 audi a4 use "plus" gas instead of premium?
A: you can use either grade you want to on this model,,and your not going to notice much of a difference at all,,i service these car,s all the time,,ans as long as you don't get any water in it,it will run fine,,and perform just as good, before you try E-85 in it you might want to ask your Audi dealer about it,,most car,s will do fine on E-85,,they just run cleaner,,that's all,,some people say they feel a loss of power,,while most people say they see no difference at all,,i hope this help,s.
Q: What will my checkup cost for my Audi A4?
I have a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. The warranty is now done at 50,000 miles. The next scheduled checkup is at 55,000 miles. Does anyone know approximately how much the scheduled checkup/oil change costs at the Audi dealership? Thanks!
A: Oil changes in and of themselves should run you around 75 bucks or so, maybe a few dollars less if you're not using synthetic oil. The scheduled maintenance may run you a few hundred but should be no more than $400 I would imagine. Check your owners manual and see what is scheduled for the 55,000 mile check up. You can also call the dealership and get an estimate based on nothing being wrong with the car except the need for scheduled maintenance.
Q: where is the amp located in a 2005 audi a4?
A: Sorry can't help you! Wish I was lucky as you to have such a car.
Q: Problems getting access to rear brake lights in Audi A4 Cabriolet?
2 of my lights have gonbe in my 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet - I have opened the boot, managed to undo a visible bolt, then manipulate a bit behin it - but the whole light cluster will not detach. I don't want to try forcing it for fear of breaking it - any one have any ideas?
If i take this to a deal they are going to charge me for what should be an easy job so looking to avoid using them
A: They are notoriously a pain in the arse to access. why not ring your local audi dealership? they can advise you over the phone, they can't charge you for that! sometimes they're quite understanding and won't charge you for such a small job, depends who you get through too!
Worth giving it a try though if it means not breaking it!
Good luck
Q: Does the Audi a4 2005, 06 or 07 have an openening between the rear seat & trunk?
A: Hi,
on some models it is standard, however on earlier models it was a factory fitted EXTRA.
Also on some models, especially the earlier A4's there was no option to have folding down rear seats.
Hope this helps!
Q: Audi 2005 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro - $4.5K. Scam?
The guy is selling an '05 Audi A4 with 17,100 mi for only $4,500. Seems too good to be true.
http://peoria.craigslist.org/cto/893738478.html
Thoughts?
A: Yes, it's a scam. I see it on craigslist all the time. Anytime the price is way too low, it's a big red flag. The only time you would see a legitimate deal where the price is substantially lower than it should be is if the car has a salvage title. That is when it has been in an accident so severe that the insurance company delcared it a total loss rather than paying to fix it. Those cars are often not safe and I would avoid them.
I clicked on your link and it has now been flagged for removal. People who regularly read the ads on craigslist get angry with all the scammers and flag their posts so some poor innocent person doesn't get defrauded.
