Q: How does the Audi A5 fare for maintenance?
If you are not familiar with the A5, how does Audi compare with other other manufacturers in terms of car reliability?

A: I own the A4 (not A5), but in general they are very similar in terms of technology and quality. The quality is OK (not great). There's some complaint with electronics. The car is high maintenance car. Everything is very unique to Audi, making them almost impossible for independent shops working on them. Also because of the complexity, the labor charges are usually very high. Also the parts are more expensive. Ex: My timing belt (and water pump) cost $1300. My honda civic's timing belt cost just $350. Ex2: The cat converter cost $800 (parts only). I would NOT buy another Audi again. Good Luck...

Q: What are the maintenance cost for owning an Audi A5?
I am looking to purchase one but I have heard there are a lot of hidden cost and just regular maintenance can be pretty high. Also, I have heard Audi's do not have a resell value and suffer from mechanical problems. Any ideas? Any information would be appreciated.

A: first of all you do not have to remove the bumper on any Audi model that i know of to replace a light bulb. Audis do have a indicator that tells you when i light bulb has blown but when i replace the bulb the warning light on the dash goes out. your main cost of ownership will be scheduled maintenance and its not cheap. Timing belt and water pump are due at about 65K miles and if you have it done at a dealer it will be about 1200 but can be done much cheaper by an indy mech. oil changes run about $100 at the dealer but again can be done much cheaper. all german cars seem to have electrical gremlins not major but premature lights blowing etc IDK whether the A5 will have this but i would plan on buying new bulbs for the dash at least once at about 100K miles and new headlights (non Xenon) every 20K miles or so and new XENON lights every 60K or so. mechanical problems are rare in my experience. wear parts will have to be replaced but that is true on any car (including toytas and hondas) if you keep the car past 100K miles you will have to consider the cost of struts bearings etc. i have 150K on my A6 and had to do the struts about 10K miles ago (still all original bearings etc tho) i also did the CV joints at about 110K miles neither was outrageously expensive. If you only keep the car until its time for the large 70Kmile maintenance then you should only see oil changes if you do the water pump and timing belt you can shoot for 120K before you sell without major repair. I personally keep them till about 180K and have never had major problems. as for resale value i don't think its low they seem to hold their value pretty well the Audi S4 is one of the top 10 cars for highest residual value. the Audi A4 is also right on par with the Mercedes C-class and BMW 3 series for residual value and the A5 is slightly lower. so no i would not say that the resale value is low. you can check residual values on the link below.

Q: What is the difference between the Audi A5 and the S5?
Any and all information regarding the difference between both of those cars are welcome. I'm looking for info like performances, engine sizes, power, prices, and most importantly, fuel efficiency. Thanks in advance!

A: The A5 has a 3.2L 265HP V6 engine. It comes in manual and automatic transmissions. It is much cheaper than the S5 and more fuel efficient. It comes in FWD and AWD. 0-60mph comes in 6.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155mph. Cost around $37,000. Up to 26mpg. The S5 has a stiffer suspension for better handling. Bigger wheels and wider tires. S5 badges and an aluminum grill and accents. It only comes in Quattro AWD. Only comes in Manual I think. Cost around $50,000. Up to 22mpg. The S5 has a lightweight 4.2L V8 with around 350HP. 0-60 is in 4.9 seconds. Top Speed is limited to 155mph. The RS5 is not out yet, but it will have the RS4 engine. It will have the 4.2L 420HP engine. It might be tuned to give more power than the RS4. I am guessing it will have 450HP. Also only offered in AWD and an even stiffer suspension and only in manual transmission. This will cost around $70,000. the best it will get is 20mpg.

Q: what car should I get an audi a5 or a mercedes-benz c350?
I have come across to cars and there both very nice I just don't know what to choose because there both nice and the same speed.

A: Get the mercedes audis can be really junky

Q: What's the difference between the Audi A5 and Audi A6?

A: The A5 is a coupe based on the 2009 A4 frame with a standard 265hp. It is designed to compete with the BMW 3-Series Coupe, Infiniti G37 Coupe, and Mercedes CLK Coupe. Other than having a similar looking interior layout, the A5 is quite different from the A6. The first large thing you notice is that the A6 is a sedan with 4-doors, while the A5 is a coupe with 2-doors. The second thing you notice is the A5 is better looking. The A6 is beautiful from the start, but the A5 was rated to be one of the most beautiful cars of the year. In terms of power, the A5 will be faster because it is lighter, but consequences will be a very small backseat, and a lower roofline. Looking at the prices, The A5 starts at $39,900 for the manual transmission, and for the automatic $41,200. For the A6, $42,950 is the base price, but it does not include standard Quattro Drive like the A5. Currently, the A5 has been very popular. At my dealer, every A5 coming in before November is sold. This car is so popular, people are paying sticker price or above for it. My favorite color combination which has been very popular is Deep Sea Blue with Cinnamon Leather. In the A6, my favorite color combination is Oyster Grey Metallic with Amaretto Leather. They have been very popular and look great. Good Luck

Q: I'm looking at the BMW 335i and Audi A5. How good of a lease could I get on either one? And which is best?

A: I don't know about the lease, but I can tell you about the cars. BMW is the best! I used to have an Audi (A4) and had lots of troubles with it. Now I have a BMW (X5) and LOVING it.

Q: How can the Audi A5 cost more than and A6? Shouldnt it be in between an A4 and an A6?
I want to buy one but dont want to wait if its going to be too much...

A: I would say that the current estimates of $45000+ for an A5 are accurate. The A5 is based on a stretched A4 platform, slotting it nicely between the A4 and A6 size-wise, but you're paying for a luxury sports coupe, three words that never calculate to a price that makes sense. You're paying for the marque and the emotional appeal of the car, and you have to decide what that is worth to you. With a brand name like Audi, don't expect too many units to be available for that baseline price of ~$45,000. Best of luck.

Q: WhIch car would u get out of these two?2007 BMW 328i OR the 2008 audi a5?
Im reallycose to buy o of these cars but i need a daggar to realy heklp me finaize y decision. Which car do you think is better to get.... Whcih one will have less problems in the long run?

A: I have the A5 3.0 TDi Quattro. It's superb. Stunning to look at (do go to the dealers and walk all around it), great build quality, lovely to drive, very fast, tonnes of torque and not quite so common as the BMW. I'd definitely go for the Audi. Just looking at it in the morning makes me smile (sad man!).

Q: When will the audi a5 be available?
im talking readyh to buy or will deliver by date. Im very curious as i have heard this novemeber to sping of 2008. any help would be terrrific as i have searched far and wide and found too many different answers.

A: from what I understand the S5 will be available november, but only with a standard trans and only 300 will be released. The A5 and the automatic S5 will both be released in March '08.

Q: I need to rent an Audi A5 for my wedding...?
My fiancee adores the new Audi A5 so I want to surprise him with renting one as the "get away car" for our wedding in November 08. Is there anywhere I can rent one in Denver or is it still too new to be avaiable for rental?? Help!!!

A: Try the dealer, but I can tell you this, no commercial rental agency will have one. If you play your cards right, maybe one of the sales staff, or management will have one as a demo. However, they will probably want to sell it to you. Explain your situation, and maybe they will be generous.

Q: How much would a used 2008 audi A5 be and a used 2008 audi S5 be?
If you dont know give it your best shot

A: it all depends on the mileage of the car. but i would say $48,000-$53,000

Q: What do you think about the new audi a5 coming up this fall?

A: I generally like Audis. I like them better than BMW and Mercedes. The A5 is no different. Although I still think they are too expensive.

Q: ok im looking for a new car , i fancy a audi a5 3litre v6 diesle is it eny good i not like bmw or mercs?
whot other opption do i have , im looking for comfort and good quality and reliabilty but not petrol only diesle power

A: I drove S5's at an Audi Experience Day in Silverstone only the other week and found it a fantastic car to drive. Although this was a more powerful version than the 3 litre diesel I do know from test driving one at my local dealership that it is a great motor.

Q: How much is the new Audi A5 & S5 going to be priced around? What engines will they have?

A: According to this months car and driver mag, they have a review of the Audi A5, they expect base MSRP to be $50,900. They did not guess on the S5, but I will....$70-75K.

Q: What is the music from the audi a5 advert?

A: Prelude 2 by Dustin O'Halloran
