Q: How can I lock my 2002 Audi A6 without arming the alarm?
I have a dog which I bring with me to run erons and I am afraid that if I bring him with me to the store someone will break in a steal him.
Right now their is no way to lock the car without arming the alarm and since it is motion sensative, the alarm will go off with a dog in it.
A: Hi, my dad has an Audi Allroad (brilliant car, best car hes ever owned) and on the drivers side by the door theres a button with a diagram of a car with like brackets coming out of it (sound waves). Just before getting out of the car hit that button and it should immobilise the alarm but still lock it.
Q: Where can I find a radio for my 2002 audi a6?
I have looked online and through ebay and cannot find a radio for my car. I would prefer to go stock or go with the rns-e or rns-d. Or if anyone knows of any other in dash dvd/navi systems and where to buy that would be great. Thanks
A: I drive a 2004 Audi S4 (B6). I removed the factory Symphony II radio and installed a RNS-E unit. It was very easy and a great investment. I love the navigation system and display. Also, it is nice to have all of my music in mp3 form. The RNS-E unit has two SD card slots behind the screen. You can buy a 2GB SD card for about $25, and fit a ton of music on it.
The Audi RNS-E is going to be the best choice by far. In advanced cars like an Audi, the radio communicates with the car and vice versa, so installing an aftermarket radio is not a good idea.
As for the RNS-E, make sure you get a US unit, not European. (Assuming your in the US) The US units will say FM/AM on the lower left button (below the screen), and CD/SD on the button to the right of the FM/AM button. On the European version, those buttons say Radio and CD/TV. It takes a lot of work to get the European version to work with US maps for the Nav.

You will also need some adapters for the install, I got mine from: http://www.vagnav.com

Q: How do I remove a 2002 Audi A6 Skid Plate?
I need to find a leak in Windshield Washer Reservoir, which pours through as soon as I fill it with the washer fluid coming down somewhere over the skid plate. I don't have a lift, or ramp, or anything like that so I need to know where the bolts or screws are before I try to crawl under there.
A: there is 6 silver screws that you need a flat head screwdriver to turn. and 2 plastic screws on the wheel liners( in front of the tires), 2 on each side and only turn these 90 degrees to remove. you might also have 3 additional screws on the lower bumper. after you remove the screws pull the skid plate out towards the back. when you get it off check your washer pump for the headlight washer jets. it usually cracked on the side in the plastic housing and leaks washer fluid. good luck.
Q: Audi 2002 A6 Blinkers/Signals Dont Blink?
I have a 2002 audi a6 that is having blinker issues. For a while the blinkers would blink a few times and then stop, now they dont blink at all, it is just a solid light when you turn on either blinker. I have checked the fuses and they are in good condition. Any ideas?
A: You could be having a problem with your relay...Im not too familiar with this problem but that is what it sounds like
Q: How to install windsheild wipers on a 2002 audi a6.?
I was washing my car and the wiper blades had fallen off when i had lifted the center part. i dont know if it was just not installed properly or if i just handled it roughly but i cannot put it back on. Any help or links with pictures would be appreciated. I searched all over google. Thanks in advance.
A: These are the new AERO blades you have. The center plastic cap just slides on sideways. What you have to do is align the metal slot under the cap *metal piece is curved at the edges and hollow on the bottom like this [____]* to the plastic guiderail at the tip of the arm, that's why it's you're not getting it on without frustration. You've probably been trying to fit the plastic guiderail at the tip of the wiper arm UNDER the metal slot on the cap instead of through it.
I don't have a pic, but there is a link showing the cap.
Oh, and the tip part of the arm fits the center part of the blade in that groove. I don't think the that twisty part at the end of the arm can turn all the way around inside there so it shouldn't be a problem, so you just have to align that with the groove in the center of the wiper blade. It's a secure fit and a pain to get perfect, so just jiggle it a little until it sets down in there all the way and is flush, then put the cap on.

Q: 2002 Audi A6 ***Please Respond***?
I am a 17 year old teenager and I am interested in an Audi A6 2002, with 69,400 miles on it. I have 3 questions to ask:
1. Since my school is only 2 miles away, I'll only drive about 5 miles each day atleast. So based on that, I won't really drive the car that much, would the maintenance cost be bad if I don't drive it that much???
2. How's the insurance on this car, cheap or expensive???
3. Is it worth getting this car as a teenager cause I know that Japanese cars like Toyota, Honda, or Nissan are really good???
Please don't ignore this, give me your best opinions, especially for you people who acutally own an Audi. Thanks.....
A: Driving that short of distance is very bad for you car.
I would not recommend an A6 for a 17 year old. I would actually stay away from European cars all together until your finances increase. The Germans make the best driving cars but, VERY high maintenance costs and they do break down on occasion, especially one with 60+ miles on it . Your due for many service soon, such as coolant flush, timing belt, trans service, break flush, etc..
If you have you heart set on an Audi or even BMW/Mercedes get one with lower millage and certified pre-owned.
I own an 2002 A4 that i bought with 32k on it, it was Audi certified. (2 year/or 50k B-to-B warranty included, with road side assist).
For your age a Honda or Nissan would be great (4 cyl). It you like the the great handling and fit and finish of the Germans you may want to consider a Mazda also. Toyotas are great too, but very boring to drive.
Hope that helps!
Q: How much oil should i add to my audi a6 2002 v6 3L?
Hi I just started to change my oil, and i dont know how much to add and the stupid oil meter is missing. i emptied the whole thing and now i want to add oil. But i have no way of knowing how much i should add please someone help me
A: The crankcase capacity is 6 quarts. What happened to the dipstick? Go to the dealer's parts department and order a new one. It's important. You should be checking your oil level once in a while. You want to seal the hole. Make sure to replace the oil filter every time you change the oil.
Q: The brake lights on my 2002 Audi A6 will not shut off. Any suggestions? Thanks much?
This has happened before and they just shut off after a while. Or when driving pumping brakes made the actual lights go off. Now, they are stuck on. You shut off car and remove key and the brake lights are still on. Thanks again
A: Sounds like your brake light switch has gone bad. It's nice to know cheap old cars like my '97 Mercury Tracer are not the only ones that have these problem. Like the other guy said, there is a brake light switch located under the dashboard at the brake pedal. It was a $25 part in my case. Guessing it'll be a bit more for your Audi.

Q: I need a user manual for a 2002 Audi Quattro A6. Can I find one online?
I don't want to pay for it. Is there a file i can download online? As a matter of fact.. for any audi. Please HELP.... 10 points to best answer!!!!
A: Unfortuantely, I was in a similar position with my used car and did not find a manual for free. However, I did find one deeply discounted on eBay. It was sold by a repair shop that was literally cleaning out its files.
Also, I suggest contacting Audi dealerships and repair shops in your area. Sometimes, they have them lying around gathering dust. Perhaps then you can catch them before they resort to eBay!
