Which is faster around a track?
the audi is manual stock 0-60 is around 5.5 seconds and around 5.1 chipped
A: now audi, is rated at about 250hp, and with top tuner chip might produce about 310hp.
stock ratings are 0-60 in about 6.9 sec
the big brit stock ran 370hp and lays down far more torque than the audi.
it supposedly ran 0-60 in 5.3 sec. brit weighs in a hefty 4026lbs
you mentioned the big brit had its supercharger boost enhanced by a smaller pulley, but you have provided no rated at the dyno numbers for this upgrade.
suffice to say in a straight line, and because of its greater power, and if the track had lots of long straights, the jag would likely overpower the audi.
...now the audi handles better (hands down - no contest), and depending on the nature of the retune it received by way of the chip it could be running in the range of 12 hp per lb, while the jag very slighty less....
of course track racing depends less on raw power -especially raw power from the get go, its more on use of available power, applying torque most efficiently at different speeds and handling.
so i reckon if the track had its share of bends, curves, the audi would use superior handling overall road grip and the jag would be disadvantaged by weight and the lack of opportunities to go WOT and use big boost from the the supercharger..
make any sense??

I've seen a 87 model mustang go high low 10's it all depends on the moter....

A: Wow, the previous answerers don't know what they're talking about. The 1999-2003 generation of the Audi S4 came with the 2.7t twin turbo V6. You get two turbos. Quattro is Audi's fancy name for all wheel drive, like Volkswagen's 4Motion and Mercedes Benz's 4Matic. The 2004+ S4's have normally aspirated (non turbo) 4.2 liter V8's.

A: Yes but the 2000-2002 S4's are getting up there in age and many of them were modified and abused. Regular maintenance is not cheap. It's a German car. You'll want to find a car with full maintenance records and you'll also want an 01 or 02 model. Visit Audiworld and the B5 S4 owner to get even better answers.

A: Make sure you have cds loaded (I'm sure you probably do).
check also that you don't have the cds upside down (real easy mistake, has happened to me)

A: you need the wiring also. The stock wire will not last. It takes more power to get the HID lights to work.

A: If you're looking for some sport and speed its all about the s4 with its twin turbo 6 cylinder. On the other hand, audi's do have their electric troubles. The s60 is nice, and being a volvo fan I couldnt talk bad about it, but honestly it depends on your age at this point. What your level of fun would consist of. The s60 has the mature luxurious look to it while the s4 is a drag machine.
