Q: Is there anything special about bleeding the brakes on a 2004 Audi S4?
I've heard it isn't possible without purchasing a special VAG tool because the stability control system (ESP).
A: It is true that a scan tool is needed to bleed the brakes on some Audi vehicles, but not all. In certain vehicles, the scan tool must be used to run the ABS pump in order to clear all of the air out of the system. It depends which ABS unit is on the vehicle. The B6 S4 only came with Bosch 5.7 and Bosch 8.0. Neither of these units need to be ran while bleeding. I would recommend using a pressure bleeder if possible.
The bleed sequence is as follows:
1 - Left front brake caliper
2 - Right front brake caliper
3 - Left rear brake caliper
4 - Right rear brake caliper

Q: 2000 Audi S4 or 2004 Audi A4 1.8T ultrasport. I have the S4 but lots of problems. Which would you choose?
My s4 is in the shop more than I drive it. I have the chance to get the A4 but not sure what would be the better choice. I havnt heard that the A4 has had many problems. Does anyone who has had this car or have heard anything about it have any advice??
A: The A4 1.8T will be a little more reliable. But that engine is the one with the sludge problem if synthetic oil isn't used. The A4 is decent only if the previous owner maintained it properly and used only synthetic 5W40 oil. Otherwise, it will be in the shop all the time also. I would keep the S4 unless you bought it used and it's in bad shape. Otherwise I would upgrade to the A4 only if a mechanic examines it and says it's okay. But I would rather have a BMW 3-series or a 2005 Volvo S40 T5. Audis aren't reliable, I'm sorry to say. You can't have both performance and reliability. You need to choose one over the other. The simpler the car, the more reliable and easier to fix.
Q: What's the best / worst thing about your 4.2L V8, Audi S4 ?
I'm thinking of getting a 2004 Audi S4 and would be very interested to know your experiences... What does it sound like? How's the ride? Bose sound system....??? What are the most memorable bits?
A: Worst-The gas mileage and weight of the car.
Best-everything else. Sounds great, goes fast, looks sporty and strong. Has lots of technology built into it.

A: None. How about an M3. It is more reliable than the Audi, it is faster and more agile than the Mercedes, and it is cooler than the Volvo C30.
Q: Which car is better?
I want to get Mercedes amg series.
However, I do not know which car to pick because they are all nice.
My choices are
2003 CL55 Amg
2003 E55 Amg
2004 CLK55 Amg
I was thinking about other cars such as BMW Z4 or BMW M3 or Audi S4.
But I think Mercedes AMG are better.
Please give me your opinion about this.
Also, if you know a lot about cars please let me know good things and bad things about the car.
I like to drive cars that are luxurious and that has good performance.
Also, if you drove these cars befor tell me how they feel.

I have a 2004 Dodge SRT-4 with a 3" downpipe, 2.5" stage 2 exhaust, 3.5" front mount intercooler, and a Mopar long ram cold air intake.. How much wheel horsepower and torque and crank horse power and torque will i have with that dont to it ? I have been wondering cause I have beaten WRX's, older M3's, and STI from a roll, Mustangs, bmw 330ci twin turbo, audi s4... I mean i know my car is fast but damn, how fast !!! i got stock turbo and pcm running 15 lbs of boost.... Any ideas ? i have no time to dyno it, but i heard they are underatted at 230hp, they actually have 275 hp stock to the crank 230 to the wheels...
A: Since you really haven't increase boost with stated mods, I'd guess you would have roughly 260whp. You are probably winning because the mods you do help alot increasing torque and horsepower under the peak.
The 2003s were underrated at 215 crank horsepower. Alot of them were dynoing around 230whp. The 2004+s probably weren't as overrated at the first year SRT4.
Q: Help me choose my car!?
ok so i LOVE cars ..over the last 3 years i have been craming my brain with car info...now the time has come..im 16 and my parents are being very kind and paying for my car...my limit is about 15k..my parents only ask that i have a safe car and that insurance is resonable. the cars i am looking at are mainly the Acura rsx type-s and 2004-05 subaru wrx (assuming i can find one in my budget) being an audi family (dad has a8.. brother has a4) i am also looking at an older s4(b5)..if anyone can give me positives and negitives that would really be appriciated..thanks!

A: I would take the Subaru.
The S4 is a good car, but the cost of ownership of an Audi is very high. Repairs, maintenance and fuel will take all your money.
Both the WRX and the RSX are very good, reliable cars. Both would be a good choice, but I think the WRX is a little more unique than the Acura. The WRX is alot of car for a 16 year old to handle, but all three of them are. I would suggest you look for something alittle more tame, but that's 100% up to you and your parents.
