Q: Where I can find a car jack for an audi TT, 2004?
My Brother bent my neigbors car jack from his audi 2004 TT Coupe 4 Cylinder, 220 horsepower car....the dealership is charging a ton to replace this thing, I can not afford that!!... Help...could be used...I don't care... I live in NJ....so closeby would help.

A: I always start with eBay myself when looking for items like this. You might have to wait a week or so to get it, but I always find that the wait is worth the money I save. Just a suggestion..

Q: What do you guys think of 2004 Audi TT MK 1. (tt owners please give me your feedback)?
I am planning on buying an audi tt 01-04 1.8 quattro coupe 225hp version. What do you guys think of the car? What should I watch out for? Any tips and tricks when buying it used? what should I expect?

A: You would do much better to buy a A-4. The TT suspension system is very hard to align and needs special tools. Look at the tires if brand new? Ask around other Audi TT owners clubs.

Q: Does anyone know what bumper modification needs to be done to a 2004 Audi TT in order to import to Canada?
Why is the modification needed? What exactly is done? Does anyone know the cost?

A: Is the car from the US? If so, ithe bumper height already meets the specs for Canada. If you bring it from the US, the only modification needed is to have the VAG Com computer set the lighting for DRL's.

Q: 2004 audi tt general problem?
i got 2004 audi tt few months ago, it's used got from local private dealer, but tt starts trembling..kind of shaking...and engine light on and off...what's wrong with this car? i am really scary=( do you have any idea... what do you recommand? do i need inspection.. please help me!!

A: Inspection Yes ASAP. At Auto Zone, Kragen's or a Good Shop get a Complete Diagnostic Readout! If you can get hold of the person you bought it from and see if you can get any information from them! To start with it's going to need a Complete Tune-up, Fuel System Service and what ever you get from the Readout...... Time but the Good Thing after that it should run like new.

Q: The turn signals on my 2004 Audi TT won't flash, What's the problem?
The turn signals light up, but they do not flash. anyone know why this is happening? and how can I fix? thanks :) All of the signals light up. Its just that they do not flash. thanks

A: Do they light up from the rear (or only from the inside indicator). If the signal turn on but indeed do not flash, then the flasher / blinker unit has failed. Good Luck...

Q: How can I remove the two front seats in my 2004 Audi TT?


A: there should be a few plastic covers that pop off and you just undo all 4 bolts, then unplug the 2 plugs underneath then pull it out

Q: Audi TT Intermittent lighting fault?
Hi - early 2004 TT 3.2 DSG. has started to show a fault with lights - after turning off lights and turning engine off, when door is opened lightson warning sounds and 1 or more lights remains on - latest case was rear (red lights) and front side light (on same side). On turning car back on and lights on and off then turning off igntion all is fine. any ideas??? So far indicators have not been involved. fingers crossed. Justme seems to be correct! last time was after a right turn, previous was after a left. seems a bit odd to me that if this is meant to be a 'parking' light then the set of lights closest to the kerb where you are parked are illuminated - surely it is better for the lights on side closest to traffic to be illuminated to help identify where edge of parked car is wrt passing cars!!!!

A: you must have left the turn signal control to the right turn position.........just like some BMWs,they have that feature function once you leave the car with the turn signal control to the right or left turn position,the left or right rear tail lights and their respective front position headlights remain on as if it`s an early warning device for other vehicles passing by the road and that is called the parking light.............i have a BMW M3 and it has that feature in it..........try it once more but this time on the left and if it`s not then you must have to visit your audi mechanic for a check

Hi. I drive an automatic 2004 Audi TT Coupe. Recently, I've noticed that when I take my foot of the brake after starting the ignition, it makes an almost screeching sound, until i hit the gas pedal. Is there something wrong with my car? Should I put it in the garage to be on the safe side? - mac x David G - is it serious?

A: yes, air is trying to escape through build up.... or a belt needs replacing. Neither one is major. You'll be ok and out for under $300.

Q: Audi for Acura...even trade-in?
I'm looking to trade-in my 2004 Audi TT 3.2L for a 2005 Acura TSX that is Acura Certified and still has factory warranty on it. Do you think this is a fair trade if no money is transacted? The Audi's warranty expired recently and it's making noises and squeaking here and there but still drives well and is in good condition. I can see future work required on the Audi in another year or so and it will cost and arm and a leg to repair. I'd really rather have a trouble-free car for the next 4-5 years. How likely is a dealership willing to trade a used car for another used car? Reasons for wanting the trade-in... Audi: 6 cyl vs. Acura: 4 cyl - save on gas Audi: 2 doors vs. Acura: 4 doors - easier to get in out + cheaper insurance Audi: warranty expired vs. Acura: factory warranty + Acura certified Audi: realistically a 2-seater vs. Acura: seats 4-5 comfortably

A: If you can notice a problem in the Audi the Acura mechanics will notice it too. The trade in value of your Audi is about $1000 less than the retail price of the Acura and with the pending mechanical issues, getting an even swap is not going to happen. I can see why you want out of the Audi but expecting an even trade for a Acura TSX is high expectations. Sell the Audi and use the cash equity for a down payment.

Q: BMW z3, Audi TT, or VW new beetle?
soo i'm turning 16 here in a month, and i've narrowed it down to these choices. well there are a few more i want but these are the ones my parents think are within reason, haha. silver 2001 Audi TT (convertible) a black or dark green 2001 BMW z3 (convertible) or a black or baby blue 2004 VW new beetle (convertible) if you'd like to give some pro's/ con's, that'd be great :)

A: I have a baby blue w/ black interior 06' convertible beetle. I LOVE it. I live in Florida, so the convertible really gets it's use. It's a fun little car. I suggest it. It cost me $15,000. Gas is good too. I fill up once a month. ( :

im buying a new car and um choosing between these 4 cars. the TT would be 2001, the rsx would be 2002, the is 300 would be 2001. and the rx8 would be 2004, please help! i need opinions my budget range is 13000

A: don't buy an Audi, any Audi. the Lexus has vague steering and is too expensive. the RSX is the best all around vehicle but you should be able to get an 04 for $12 to $14,000. 02's sell for $8 to $10,000. the RX8 is the most fun but not a practical daily driver.

Q: Mazda, Chrysler or Audi?
I dont know which car I want. I like all of these cars. I just want other peoples opinions and thoughts on these cars. a 2001 Audi TT Quattro a 2004 Mazda RX-8 a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire right now i have a 1996 Neon dohc... its pretty clean for a neon though... shes a beast...

A: It really depends on what you want. I've driven all three, so I can tell you what I think. First of all...CROSS OFF THE CROSSFIRE. They just aren't good. They're really slow, can't handle at all, not even practial (which you'd think they would be since minivan rape them) and they look like a dog hunched over to poop. The RX8 is a SPECTACULAR car...but it isn't too quick. WAY faster than a Crossfire, but it's not the quickest car. It does handle WAY better than the others, and is going to be the most fun to drive to be sure. It also wins in the looks department, and has back seats and four doors. It's also getting fairly cheap to buy one. All around the best choice. The Audi is the fastest in a straight line, but oddly it's AWD isn't very well suited to hard driving. They are great cars, don't get me wrong, but they aren't nearly as fun as an RX8. At least it'll be a better winter car...lol. In end it's up to you. ANYTHING is better than what you have now...even the horrible Crossfire. Good luck!

Q: Infiniti G35?
Hi, I drive a 2004 Audi TT Coupe at the moment, but I'm thinking of purchasing an Infiniti G35 from a friend of my mom's, who owns a dealership near my home. Can anyone tell me what the benefits of having a G35 over a TT are? For example, mpg and overall efficiency levels? I am going to visit my mom's friend on Thursday, but I'm just wondering what I should know before I fall in love with the car, which I know I will!! thanks in advance, mac xx

A: Just drive the cars. Most cars today as so similar that it makes little difference. Drive the cars and compare. Remember you spend your time 'inside' the car. So make sure you like the interior. How is the performance? How does it handle? Is it noisier? Is there space?Options? Which is more comfortable to drive? These are questions only you can answer and the best way to answer these is to drive both cars and compare. Don't pre-decide or pre- judge the car. Be as objective as possible. Also one must be willing to not have the thing in order to be a successful negotiator. If you feel you must have the thing i.e car, hat, house,phone what ever.. you will never be successful at getting the best deal possible. You must be willing and able to walk away. Most mileage information ( MPG) has been proven to be false. So don't worry too much about that.

Q: I am going to be getting my first car soon....?
My parents are going to be buying me a car soon and they told me i had a limit of 15K Well i do not know what to get so i am asking yall.... i can not decice between a ::::: 2002-2004 Audi A6 2.7T 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder 2000-2002 Audi S4 2002-2004 Audi TT 1.8T I am 6'0 ft. and i dont know if i will have enoguh room in the TT I want something that has plenty of power but it not out rageously fast and i want comfort and ride quality and everything else everyone looks for in a luxury car Which would be a better choice for me?? No stupid answers please!!!

A: Out of these I would choose the A6. The A4/S4 is not so big. The TT is very small, hard to get in. Or the Marauder, which is very cool.
