Q: Why No Replies to Audi TT Roadster AD?
I am selling a 2005 top of the line Audi TT Roadster Quattro. First I price at Blue Book, then I reduced by $2K, but still no calls. What gives, it's a perfect car w/ warranty?
A: Be patient, it will sell eventually. It's not a car people are actively looking for, but it's bound to peak someones interest eventually.
I the mean time, put a "For Sale" sign in the window with your phone number, you may get a call that way.
Q: Where would I buy a windscreen for an 01 Audi TT Roadster?
It's the mesh piece that fits behind the roll bars. I've already looked on Ebay. Is it possible to buy the piece individually and install it in myself? and where would i buy one? and how much am i looking at? (i'm trying to avoid going to the dealers)
A: BW Auto Dismantlers specializes in Audi and VW parts. If anyone can get it they can.
Q: What is the recommended size of tires for an Audi TT Roadster?
A: The original factory equipment came with 2 options regardless of which TT model you have (1.8 FWD, 1.8 Quattro or 3.2 Quattro). The standard size is 225/45/17 and there was a factory option to go up to 225/40-18.
The recmmendation depends on your driving style. If you want a sporty feel go with the larger rim (18's). By going with the 17" rim and the 225/45/17 tire you will have a less "harsh" ride.
Q: Question For Previous Audi TT Roadster Owners?
Hey, I'm looking at a used 2002 Audi TT Roadster Quattro. It has 81,000 miles and the people are asking 17,800 for it. I do not have all the specifications as to what is inside the car but I know they just put in a new clutch. MY QUESTION. I am skeptical. Is 81,000 too much for that price aka when will i generally start getting problems (what is the usual mile lifespan of the audi tt roadster)? Any other info from owners is greatly appreciated
A: Ive owned 2 a 01 and 02. I used to be a vw audi tech. Make sure timing belt and idlers have been changed, they are due now. I would also look at aux water pump, they seem to start leaking about then also.
Q: where to find a second hand audi tt roadster four years old for 3000 pound?
A: www.cars.com
Q: I am looking to buy a Audi tt roadster as a fun 3 erd car, will I be happy with manual trans or wish I had au
A: well have you ever had a car drive and shift you? I don't think so you better get the manual so you can drive the car and not be driven by the car.
Q: Would you buy a 2001 BMW Z3 or an Audi TT Roadster?
I have always loved the Z3 but came across the TT recently and it also has caught my eye. Would you recommend the BMW or the Audi? Pros/Cons?
Thanks!
A: Based solely on looks, the Audi. Based on performance, the Z3. Based on repair records and costs, the Audi. Overall, the Audi.
Either one would be a sweet ride!
Q: Which car is better audi tt roadster bmw z4m roadster mercedes slk350?
A: The TT for style, Zed 4 for performance and the SLK for long distance touring.
Q: audi tt roadster?
im 15 and would like my first car to be an audi tt roadster. do you think this is a good first car for me?
have you ever driven or owned one? if so, what are your thoughts on how they run? are they expensive used?
A: Don't listen to them. If you can afford a good car, get it. But don't go crazy! I would suggest you buy an older one (ie the Mk1 version not the outgoing Mk2). It is an excellent car and at the time represented the best of what Audi could offer in the sports car sector. The engine output I would suggest is the 1.8 Turbo, mated with the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. This car handles like a go-cart (note: that's a good thing) but also provides its passengers with exceptional luxuries, thus maintaining the high level of quality materials that Audi uses in its cars, especially in its interior. Also, the gas consumption is very good with numbers around 30 mpg for the highway. Also, the safety is not as good as that in a A4 of that time, but definitely beat the safety of the other competitors' cars, such as the BMW Z3 and Mercedes-Benz SLK.
Now, I must add that you would be better off with the coupe. The Roadster is a little risky due to its low height, something that can be very scary when you're driving next to a semi-truck.
It is up to you. I hope I helped. Good luck with your purchase.
Q: wat does the button in front of the drop top button do in a 2001 audi tt roadster?
A: it should raise and lower the windscreen behind the seats--my 2001 has this feature but not sure if it was an option or standard equip--my unit sometimes fails to raise/lower--it is just like a power window--raises thru the slot behind the roll bars
Q: What do the letters TT in Audi TT Roadster stand for?
A: The TT was first shown as a concept car at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show. The design is credited to J Mays and Freeman Thomas of Volkswagen's California design studio, with Martin Smith contributing to the interior design. The TT name does not indicate "twin turbo" as is sometimes assumed. The car is named for the NSU TT, a small rear-engine model with a formidable racing pedigree that NSU produced in the 1960s and was based on the NSU Prinz, although the modern TT shares next to nothing with that model's design concepts. The NSU TT was, in turn, named for the famous Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) motorcycle races.
Q: Should i buy an Audi TT coupe or roadster?
which one would you prefer? the Coupe or the roadster convertible?
A: well it depends on where you live... i live in chicago, so a roadster would be perfect in the spring/summer, however b/c temps get real cold during the winter, i wouldn't want it... live somewhere mostly warm, then get the drop top... otherwise get the coupe.

A: some cd players wont read burned cds for copyright issues
Q: A friend is thinking of buying an Audi TT roadster...?
OK, here's the deal. I am older, he is younger. I think more practical, he is thinking with...let's just say other things. I don't want him to do something he will one day really regret. The Audi TT is a great little car. Here's the issues. It's used. A 2001. It's well out of warranty. Parts are very expensive, especially major parts. Although it's German craftsmanship, they still break. He has admitted that a $500 repair would really put a dent in his savings. $2500 would break him. He is artistic, but mechanically inempt. He is a single parent. No third seat in a TT. It would be his only mode of transportation and he commutes about 60 miles round-trip of stop and go traffic daily. He has a good job, but it doesn't pay extremely well. He wants a convertible. he refuses to buy American. It would be so simple to just say "It's his life, let him do what he wants", but what kind of friend would I be to see him make a purchase that could bankrupt him later?
A: All you can really do is explain all that & leave it up to him. You can't make decisions for him. Part of life is making mistakes.. Possibly help him look for something more practical...
Q: Nissan 350Z vs Audi TT roadster?

A: Why he wants the Z so bad????
It will get you l a i d
Tuners splash thoussands trickin' em out, and getting l a i d
He hates a front drive convertible that quivers like jello over tracks and bumps.
"Leave the TT, grab the canolli"
